- The thesis was evaluated by at least two external examiners.
- An open Ph.D. viva voce was conducted.
- The candidate has published at least two research papers based on their Ph.D. work, with at least one appearing in a refereed journal.
- The candidate has presented at least two research papers related to their Ph.D. work at conferences/seminars sponsored or supported by UGC, ICSSR, CSIR, or a similar agency.
These conditions must be certified by the Registrar or Dean (Academic Affairs) of the respective university. OR - A Ph.D. degree in Physical Education from a recognized foreign university or institution.
