Agni veer Air force Notification

2025: Eligibility criteria

    • Born between 1 January 2005 and 1 July 2008 (both dates inclusive).
    • Maximum age on enrolment: 21 years.
    •  Candidates must be unmarried.
    • Female candidates must agree not to get pregnant during the 4-year service period.

Education Qualification

 

  •    Passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English (minimum 50% aggregate and 50% in English).OR, a 3-year diploma in Engineering (50% aggregate and 50% in English).OR, a 2-year vocational course with Physics and Mathematics (50% aggregate and 50% in English).
  • Passed 10+2 in any stream (minimum 50% aggregate and 50% in English)OR, a 2-year vocational course (50% aggregate and 50% in English

Domicile Categories

You must select one domicile category during registration. Relevant documents are required:

  • Permanent Domicile: Certificate issued by state/UT officials.
  • COAFP (Children of Air Force Personnel):
    • For serving personnel, submit a recent COAFP certificate.
    • For retired or deceased personnel, submit proof of residence and service records.
      Note: Domicile details cannot be changed after registration.

Medical Standards

  1. Height:
    • Male: Minimum 152 cm.
    • Female: Minimum 152 cm (relaxation for certain regions).
  2. Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
  3. Chest:
    • Male: Minimum 77 cm (with 5 cm expansion).
    • Female: Well-developed chest with a 5 cm expansion.
  4. Hearing: Normal (able to hear whispers at 6 meters).
  5. Vision: Must meet required standards; LASIK/PRK surgery is not allowed.
  6. Tattoos: Permitted only in culturally approved areas like the inner forearms or back of the hand.

     Terms of Service

  1. Service Period: 4 years under the Air Force Act, 1950.
  2. Permanent Enrolment: After 4 years, up to 25% of candidates may be considered for permanent roles based on performance and organizational needs.
  3. Leave:
    • Annual Leave: 30 days.
    • Sick Leave: As per medical advice.

Pay & Benefits

  1. Salary: ₹30,000 per month, with annual increments.
  2. Other Benefits:
    • Risk, dress, and travel allowances.
    • Free accommodation, ration, and Leave Travel Concession (LTC).

No Gratuity or Pension Benefits
Agniveer vayu members are not entitled to gratuity or any pensionary benefits during or after their service.

 Insurance, Death, and Disability Compensation
During their service, Agniveervayu members will receive a non-contributory life insurance coverage of ₹48 Lakhs. However, they are not covered by the pension regulations or rules of the Indian Air Force. For more details about death or disability compensation, please visit Agniveer Portal.

Agniveer Skill Certificate
At the end of their service period, Agniveervayu members will receive a detailed Skill Certificate that highlights the skills and competencies they acquired during their time with the Air Force.

No Ex-Servicemen Status
Agniveervayu members will not be eligible for Ex-Servicemen status after completing their four-year service term.

Commissioning Exam Restrictions
Agniveervayu members will not be allowed to appear for any commissioning exams in the Army, Navy, or Air Force during their four-year service unless they applied for these exams before joining.

Release Before Completion
Agniveervayu members cannot leave the program before completing their four-year service term, except in exceptional cases with approval from the Competent Authority.

2025: Examination Process

Phase I – Online Test
Eligible candidates will receive their admit cards 48-72 hours before the exam, sent to their registered email addresses. Candidates can also download the admit card from the Agniveer Portal. The online test will be objective-type, and questions will be available in both English and Hindi (except the English paper). Here’s how the online test will look:

  • Science Subjects: Duration of 60 minutes, covering Physics, Mathematics, and English (based on the 10+2 CBSE syllabus).
  • Non-Science Subjects: Duration of 45 minutes, focusing on English (10+2 CBSE syllabus) and Reasoning & General Awareness.
  • Combined (Science and Non-Science): Duration of 85 minutes, covering Physics, Mathematics, English, and Reasoning & General Awareness.

Marking Scheme:

  • Correct answer: +1 mark
  • Unattempted question: 0 marks
  • Incorrect answer: -0.25 marks

Note: The scoring for the Phase-I test will be “normalized” to account for variations in the difficulty of the questions across different sessions. The cut-off for shortlisting candidates will be based on the normalized marks.

Phase II – Further Testing

 Shortlisting & Admit Cards
Once the Phase-I results are out, shortlisted candidates will receive a new admit card for Phase-II, sent to their registered email IDs. These candidates will need to report to the designated centre with necessary documents and materials (like the filled application form, photographs, certificates, etc.).

 Uploading Additional Documents
Candidates with additional skills or qualifications (e.g., IT, motor vehicle maintenance, hospitality, etc.) should upload supporting certificates when they receive their Phase-II admit card.

 Document Verification
Candidates should bring all required documents for verification during Phase-II. If any documents are found to be incorrect or incomplete, the candidature will be cancelled.

Physical Fitness & Medical Tests

 Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Shortlisted candidates will undergo a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) that includes a 1.6 km run and other exercises (push-ups, sit-ups, squats). Male and female candidates have different time limits, so be sure to check the detailed requirements.

 Consent for Fitness & Medical Tests
Candidates will need to sign a consent form before participating in the fitness or medical tests. This will acknowledge that the candidate is taking part at their own risk.

 Adaptability Test-I & II
Candidates who pass PFT will proceed to Adaptability Test-I and, if successful, Adaptability Test-II, which assesses suitability for Air Force environments and life.

 Medical Examination
After passing Adaptability Test-II, candidates will undergo a medical examination, which includes a series of tests like blood work, ECG, and more.

 Appeal for Medical Unfitness
Candidates who are declared medically unfit can appeal by submitting an application and paying a fee for a second opinion.

2025 :How to Apply

  • To apply, visit Agniveer Portal and complete the online registration. During the registration process, you’ll need to upload required documents (e.g., educational certificates, photograph, and AADHAAR number). Ensure all information is accurate to avoid complications.
  • There is an examination fee of ₹550 + GST, which must be paid online during registration.
  • If a candidate makes multiple payments by mistake, the extra amount will be refunded. However, if a candidate submits multiple applications, only one will be accepted.
  • Make sure to keep your Aadhaar card (or any other valid ID proof if you’re from certain states) handy for the registration process and testing.

Note: Candidates must follow all instructions carefully to avoid disqualification. Using mobile phones or electronic devices during the exam will result in disqualification.

Please make sure to bring a color printout of your provisional Admit Card when you arrive at the Examination Centre. If any issues, mistakes, or discrepancies are found during the initial verification at the exam venue or later in the selection process, you will not be allowed to take the online test.

Don’t forget to carry your AADHAAR Card (as mentioned on your Admit Card) as proof of identity when you come for the Selection Test (Phase-I & II) and the Medical Test. If you’re from J&K, Ladakh, Assam, or Meghalaya and don’t have an AADHAAR Card, please bring any other valid ID proof.

01/2026: GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • When filling out your online application form, you need to choose five exam centre preferences for the STAR ONLINE EXAM. However, please note that CASB reserves the right to assign you any exam centre, even if it’s not one of your preferred choices. For Phase-II exams, you will have to report to your assigned ASC as decided by CASB.
  •  We cannot accommodate requests to change the exam centre or the test date. Be sure to report to your designated centre on the scheduled date and time. Plan ahead for any travel delays, like trains running late!
  •  If you don’t show up on the scheduled date and time, you won’t be able to reschedule for another date or shift.
  •  Please make sure your application is filled out correctly and completely. If there are any mistakes or it’s incomplete, it will be rejected.
  •  Be prepared to stay for the entire duration of the tests, and make your own arrangements for accommodation. No travel allowance (TA) or daily allowance (DA) will be provided.
  •  You must provide an active email ID so that CASB can keep you updated about your application status and other important details. Make sure to save your email ID and password for future communications.
  •  Bring your Domicile Certificate or COAFP Certificate (as mentioned in para 8) for the Phase-II exam and Enrolment. Originals will be verified during Phase-II.
  •  You should only apply once in response to this advertisement.
  •  If you apply more than once with different registration numbers, your application will be rejected.
